NKOTB Cruise 2020 Postponed: Refund and Cancellation FAQ

In an official statement, the New Kids on The Block announced the postponement of the NKOTB Cruise 2020. Here are some FAQ you may have.

It’s a very sad situation; two very sad situations actually: what’s happening in the world and the heartbreak of thousands of fans. Since it can very hard and painful to accept this, we may fail at reading all the information the New Kids shared; so, we’ll break it down.

In an official statement, the New Kids on The Block announced the postponement of the NKOTB Cruise 2020. Here are some FAQ you may have.

Why Did They Wait To Announce the Postponement?

Because they held their hope as long as they could, just like you.

NKOTB wrote, “Alongside all of you, we have been following information closely from public health officials and municipalities and working with Carnival to figure out a solution to protect the health and safety of the fans, NKOTB and all of our staff. We held out hope for this year’s cruise as long as we could.”

Why Has the Cruise Been Postponed?

Due to the current crisis and what it takes to plan an event like this.

NKOTB wrote, “We recognize the fact that many of you would not be able to attend due to the current state of international travel and other public health advisories. We take seriously the many safety concerns that most of you have.

We also understand that organizing this type of event requires extensive planning and logistics, not just for us, but for all of you who plan on attending (from around the country and the world) as well.

With that being said, we have determined that it is in the best interest of everyone for us to reschedule the New Kids on the Block Cruise due to the uncertainty and danger connected with the COVID19 virus.”

When is The Cruise Going to Set Sail?

It is uncertain.

NKOTB wrote, “We are committed to operating under the mantra of NO BLOCKHEAD LEFT BEHIND! If we cannot set sail with all of those who planned on attending now, then we will make every effort to set sail with all of those who planned to attend as soon as possible.

Due to the uncertain nature of the current health crisis, we do not have the reschedule date of sailing just yet and want to do our best to provide accurate information out of respect for each of you. We can, however, ensure you all that NKOTB, Faculty and Rose Tours, are all committed to giving our NKOTB passengers the absolute best NKOTB Cruise ever, with — NO BLOCKHEAD LEFT BEHIND.

When are They Going to Announce More News?

It is also uncertain.

NKOTB said, “We appreciate your patience and support while we make the necessary arrangements. We will reach out when more information on the dates becomes available. From all of us at Rose Tours and on behalf of NKOTB- We love you Blockheads! Be safe, stay healthy and we will reach out as soon as possible.

Expect further updates to come via notifications such as this.”

Can I Get a Refund?

Since the cruise hasn’t been cancelled – it has only been postponed – the terms and conditions you signed up for apply. Therefore: you cannot get a refund.

Will I Loose My Spot?

No. The cruise you payed for has been simply postponed; it will be rescheduled.

YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR FANS JUST THE ALMIGHTY BUCK!! THAT’S WHY YOU DIDN’T CANCEL, SO YOU WOULDN’T HAVE TO GIVE THE MONEY BACK. SOME OF THEM SAVED FOR YEARS AND LOSE MONEY ON FLIGHTS AND HOTELS, AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RE-SCHEDULE FOR ANOTHER TIME. HOW DARE YOU, WHY DON’T YOU JUST QUIT ALREADY. YOU DON’T EVEN REALIZE HOW MANY FAMILIES YOU HAVE DESTROYED. YOU’RE OVER THE HILL ALREADY, THESE WERE ONLY LITTLE GIRLS, YOU PERVS.

Hello,
Well, you didn’t need to yell. So, if we are in our forties and fifties we are “little girls”? Thank you!!!
I suggest you redirect your anger to the “About” page of this blog to see there’s just a fan spreading some joy here; not NKOTB; and then, redirect it also to your mirror.
You are clearly not a fan; otherwise you’d know how this band feel about their fans; but I’m approving your comment just to make you realize – forever – how rude you were with this comment and how coward you are for not leaving your name.
God bless you.

Agree that there is no need to yell. That said, I am disappointed in the decision to “postpone” the cruise. These are unusual times and many people, my daughter included, could use this money to keep her small business running until life returns to normal. I am sure that NKOTB will have no problem in the future selling out the cruise, so why not refund the money now, so people can use it during this crisis, and then start over once a new date is confirmed?

I agree with you.
I didn’t book this cruise, but I would feel the same as you do.
Nothing is certain these days and, even if we have hope, there’s nothing we can actually control.
But it is what it is… Sadly… That’s the contract we sign when we book…
Thank you for comment Shirley, and welcome 🙂
I hope everything turns out well for your daughter,
Laly
